This artwork was produced at a time where I was in inner turmoil...I hadn't
painted in awhile, I was stuck in a place between being lonely and being
with someone 24/7, and unsure of who I was. The result a comeback
piece, a piece that shows the world, im not afraid to be me any more, im
going to be free, happy, independent (at least in my mind!) and I'm fine with
that...he colourful spurts of paint represent explosions of me...The circular
pattern forms almost a barrier, a structure, similar to what I feel, I try so
hard to be structured and I live with certain beliefs of how my life at this
time should go, and day by day I get disappointed, that’s why you see
it slowly being covered up, slowly the other colours (other ways to live)
are coming through...Im slowly learning who I am. |
