Here for sale is a beautifully restored Victorian high dome top trunk circa- 1870's. Comes with the original tray insert which has been restored as well. This is an exceptional trunk of the period with beautiful and very ample decorative metal work. The lid top corners on this trunk are the most intricately detailed and estetically pleasing that I have come accross on any trunk. All tin and metal work is original. The tin covering has been sanded free of original paint and repainted the same colour in a Krylon gloss black. The decortative metal work has been painted with a bright Krylon gold paint giving it a very rich and impressive finish. Every tack head has been touched with the bright gold paint to further detail and highlight including the underside.
