| Here for sale is a vintage ladies makeup desk or vanity with a three-way adjustable mirror. It is made by the Knechtal Furniture Company of Hanover, Ontario. Knechtal was well respected for it's fine furniture making for over a hundred years, but has haulted furniture making since 1983. Like so many other fine furniture makers in North America, we have only their quality furniture examples to remind us of what we have lost. This piece is in excellent condition for it's age and a very functional piece. It appears to be made of walnut, at least the working surface is walnut. Each drawer has dovetail drawer joints which further exhibits the craftsmanship and quality. |
