Here for sale is a very stunning looking trunk. It is from the early 1900's era, possibly around 1910 I believe. It is very well made by 'Eveleigh Baggage' 'Canada's Best Since 1870' 'Registered Trademark' as stated on the label affixed to the front under the lock housing(as shown). This label was kept intact during the restoration of the exterior and speaks volumes of the trunks quality craftsmanship. One other label inside states the trunk is of 5 ply contruction (as shown). It is quite large at 36"L x 21.5" W x 23" H.
This trunk is very well made and has an abundance of metal work that comes together when the lid is closed to provide a secure latching and fitting lid. The latches and corner guards, etc. are all very strong and well made. |
