The DEAFinitely Youth Group is a group that seeks to promote the ongoing Youth Development of young Deaf people in greater Auckland. We are seeking a part time (20 hours a week) Deaf Youth Worker to support the DEAFinitely Youth Group implement the group's aim.
The Deaf Youth Worker will have
- Outstanding communication skills in New Zealand Sign Language and written English
- Knowledge/experience of Deaf Culture and Youth issues
- Be respectful and accommodation of the needs of all Deaf Youth
- High level of initiative and flexibility
- Skills in Administration including budgeting and financial creativity
- Experience in not-for-profit project management
- A tertiary education qualification would be an advantage |
