base on the serial # 78...... with 779 slide and barrel with colt
marking.

779 refers to the first three numbers of US military arsenal
repair parts, also known as the military match hard slide, they
were made for the US Army by Colt .The parts number
stamped on a 1911 slide is 7790314 on its left side, TZ on its
right side and marked “ M “ on the top of the slide, the part
number stamped on a 1911 barrel is 7791193.
