You pick a volunteer from the audience to choose one card from a deck of cards. You then have the volunteer sign the card and return it to the deck of cards. You may even have the volunteer shuffle the cards by him/herself.
Next, you take out a new plastic bottle from a paper bag and wrap duct tape around the bottle. You explain that you will throw the deck of cards in the air and hit the cards with the plastic bottle - and the card which has been signed by the volunteer will stick to the bottle.
However, instead of the signed card sticking to the bottle, all cards will drop on the floor. You explain that you may have hit the cards too hard! You peel the duct tape off the bottle and there, inside the bottle, is the card which was signed by the volunteer!
