• Ensure safety functioning and maintenance of all engineering equipment onboard
• Observe the requirements of all International Conventions, Codes, Rules and other general docs in relation to ship’s engineering equipment operation
• Supervise all work and coordination activities of crew engaged in operating and maintaining propulsion and power generation engines and control systems, electrical equipments, boilers, refrigeration systems, sanitary and ecological equipment, deck machinery , all other auxiliary machinery, systems and engineering equipment abroad ship.
• Keep all technical documentation in order, filing up in time and properly Engine Log Book and other necessary docs and forms.
• Ensure that all workspace activities are carried out in a manner consistent with safety and quality procedures and practices.
• Carry out all routine test of all emergency equipment onboard on a regular basis.
