| We live in Australia, we sadly have 2 ageing and disabled parents in Norfolk. My mother is 75, and has survived years of disability from muscular dystrophy, and my dad is 88, and is suffering from lymphoma, now untreatable. Both are very bright and my mother does the telegraph and times crosswords daily. They have recently (2 weeks ago) realized that they can no longer cope alone. They have an extensive network of friends, cleaner, gardener etc in situ, but can no longer drive, do the post, shopping or get money from a bank. Is there anyone out there who, for a reasonable income, could help with the getting up, a little bit of cooking, getting to bed, and generally helping out. Both are fiercely indepenent. We would love to hear from anyone who might consider this unusual request. |
