This Engine was de-installed from personal Monteray
Montura. We were told that the engine was shot and elected
to have a new one installed. $11,000.00 later realized after the
job was complete and requested the original motor and were
able to get a second opinion that all that had happened was
the top end of two of the pistons had had a factory flaw. They
had to have been damaged on original install or our new found
mechanic did them in. There was absolutely no flaws or what
you would expect to see from a bad piston. No cylinder
damage. No nicks or hits of any kind on the heads. I will have
had the two pistons replaced and have the engine completely
gone through and running perrrfect. New seals, gaskets,
perfect. $1850.00 obo. |
